I was gonna say that, too, but then I thought: "Does it matter". The answer would be the same.

Germany will probably win. We're too disappointed with ourselves to do any better.

I'm afraid that you might be right, but I hope it doesn't happen.. As far as I know Germany will be missing 2 in the defense, Michael Ballack, and possibly Tim Borowski (or how the hell it's spelled)..But on the other hand, they're still on home field.. I don't know, I just hope that we can end the tournament in a good manner, at least..And then a 3rd place would be fine.

Couple of great goals (shame about the own-goal) & a very well played game......nice to see 2 teams actually playing the game instead of flopping all over the place.

This is probably the first & last time you'll ever hear me say..."LET'S GO FRANCE !!!"

I didn't watch the game, it was too much and honestly I have more things on my mind but I heard it and saw Portugal's game.

    Congratulations Germany.

congrats germany...Big phillip made his substitutions too late in the game..Nuno Gomes should have started in..And they should have used the tactic they did in the end of the game..but it's always easy being an expert afterwards..All in all: congrats germany, you should be proud. Now I hope France beat those ******n italians.

Some cracking goals I seen today.

It wasn't him who scored, though. (Just checking)

It was Schweinsteiger x2 and an own goal on a free kick from Schweinsteiger.

Schweinsteiger did play well today but Lahm is an excellent right back who can play left back as well. If I own MAN UTD, I'd sign him immediately.

Thinks are getting funnier. What a bad world cup this has been for Man Utd!!!

    -------------------------------------------------

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...td/5120332.stm

Ronaldo intends to leave Man Utd

Manchester United's Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants to leave Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old has been criticised in England for his role in the sending off of team-mate Wayne Rooney when Portugal beat England in the World Cup.

"I think I should get out of Manchester as the circumstances are not right to keep playing there," said Ronaldo.

"Nobody stood up for me, although I did not do anybody any harm. In two or three days I'll decide where to go."

Ronaldo, who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, added: "I always said I wanted to play in Spain."

Ronaldo has three years left on his United contract and boss Sir Alex Ferguson said last week he expected the player to report for pre-season training.

He said: "There isn't a problem with the boy and I don't expect any problems.

"When people have been involved in a bid to become president at Madrid they have used clubs like ours."

New Real manager Fabio Capello said it was good news that Ronaldo was considering a move to The Bernabeu.

"He is a Manchester United player," said Capello. "But everyone wants to come to play here and I think he really wants to and this is good news for me.

"We will have to wait and see but at the moment I cannot say anything."
