    Question Yo, Brits...

it's been one year since the bombings of 7/7. Insights? Memorial activities?

Your friends across the big pond are curious...well, at least one is.

Wanna hear something goofy? 9/11 is my mother-in-law's b-day, 7/7 is mine.

More so than curious, I wish you guys don't have to deal with that ever again, and wish you all sincere condolences. It's unspeakable to have this sort of thing happen at all, but when it effects your countrymen, it's that much worse.

Wish you guys a safe future.

2 minutes silence was observed across the country at midday. A memorial service was held in London. Here's a link to the BBC website.

We also observed the silence here in Gib.

yeh, had all the 2 minutes silence and all that. Tv progs etc... nothing major happend as far as i know apart from a really big flower bed where people could only lay pink flowers and then later on in the day the families affected came and laid yellow ones in a pattern.

7/7 was one hell of a bad day for me, because aside from the obvious, my dog had what I can only describe as a stroke. He was paralysed in his back two legs, and the vet told us to have him put down. He said there is no way the dog will ever be the same again.

We never had him put down, and he made a full recovery within 4 weeks.
