Default Mini-humbuckers - praise and questions

After months of trying to find the right P-90 for my LP Deluxe, I've come full-circle and put the stock mini-hums back in. Turns out I love 'em. Great snarl and bite and they just seem "right" for the guitar.

My only qualm is that the pickups don't seem to be calibrated and the neck overpowers the bridge. It would be nice to have a little bit more warmth and output from the bridge.

The Seymourized mini-hum sounds like it would be cool, but it's Firebird-style and I don't know if it can be mounted in the Deluxe pickup ring. It also doesn't have adjustable poles and has that stamped "S" logo (which i'm not wild about). Likewise, Dimarzio mini-hums are also Firebird-style.

Does anyone make Deluxe-style mini hums that are hotter than stock? Any reccomendations?

The Custom Shop will make you whatever you want, though it'll be a little pricey.
In 1861 as the Confederate forces were about to fire on Fort Sumter, the blue and gray had infinitely more in common than the blue and red today. What fellowship can "the truth shall set you free" ever have with "there is no truth, only points of view", or "what is truth?"

Secession would be a horror. But barring a major national crisis like a Black Death magnitude epidemic or nuclear attack to erase once and for all the myth that truth is negotiable, it is coming.

8.1k on the bridge for the Antiquity, that would do the trick -- assuming it's #42 wire and I think it is.

Cool, thanks! That's good to know. I just wish, for aesthetic reasons, it had poles and didn't have the "S".

You know, I bought a Gibson mini to putf in my Alleykat for the same awsthetic reasons you mentioned. After trying the SM-1 in the neck one day out of curiosity, I chucked the Gibson mini and got another SM-1. From 10 feet away, you can't see the S.
