    Cool NAMM Report

I blew through there in about 4 hours. Smaller show compared to the Winter one in Anaheim. Hotter than hades in Austin today. It was a good day to be inside a convention hall. The show was rather sedate by NAMM standards, but this was my first summer venture. I understand summer ones are always a bit smaller.

Here's a couple of photos of some folks you know and one or two you don't know.

Can anyone guess who's rapping with Seymour, then with Evan?

I missed it, but apparently Matt B (the new guy with Duncan) and Peter were up playing and singing an old Monkees tune. I'm always late to the party.

Glad you got some photos of the Jackson booth Scott! I so want that blue archtop soloist you got a picture of. Did I ever mention I don't like Pablos pointy battle weapon guitar and bass whatsoever. I dunno it just stands out like a sore thumb against the true Jackson styles. Even that black and red paint on them is just, well, really cliche and bland to me. Anyhoo, I guess they're just trying to show what they can do in the custom shop.

Out of curiosity, Scott, was Hamer there? Kaman isn't exactly known for spending a ton on promotion.

I did not see Hamer, nor did I see Rickenbacker. I specifically looked for Rick. I can look up Hamer in the show guide to see for sure. I would think that I'd have been all over it had they been there. But my truck is in the parking lot and that's where my guide is.
