Default Well I'll be dipped...JB/Jazz combo is what I was looking for after all!

I slapped a JB that George Lynch gave me in my Ibanez Artist, and I am in love with this thing! Hadn't played one in a long time.. All I can say is WOW and THANKS GEORGE!

Also, my wife & granddaughter got me a Jazz neck model for Father's Day. Slapped that in the same guitar. Again, WOW...
    THANKS FAMILY!

Seymour's favorite combination? Now I know why!
    Yep..THANKS SEYMOUR!

Dude, are you serious? That's nothing short of completely righteous! I've got my seven in the shop having that combo installed (along with an alnico ii single).

Got the same combo (well a TB4/SH2n actually) on the way for the Warmoth Hollow Strat I'm building - here's hoping for good things. I ordered a TB14/59n as well just in case.

I here my comb in my HSH http://ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp...70DXQM&color=2

    neck & bridge= JB & JAZZ
middle= HOT RAIL FOR MIDDLE & NECK
result is a perfect balance of coils configuration and the middle one give that strat sound in case that I just need it...

    It's GREAT!

Because this guitar is brighter sounding overall compared to a Les Paul, I think I'm gonna try 250K pots to smooth out the highs a bit. Whaddya think, bro?

Just change the neck volume first and it should be fine. It's worth a shot. Is the JB sounding bright too? It'll be ok with 250k pots. Seymour uses them with 250k pots in the Tele-Gib.

Awesome! I personally don't see how anyone couldn't like that combo (at least if it's in the right guitar). Glad you did, too. Enjoy it!

By the way, Johnny, is that Artist the same one you had back when we worked at Music World? The black one?

If by Custom/59 Combo you mean the hybrid that uses one coil from each, this is not the same thing. By JB/Jazz combo we mean, JB in the bridge and Jazz in the neck, the popular Duncan pickup combination that Seymour himself uses in the Tele-Gib.

Yeah, the JB is a bit too bright too in this guitar, so I think I'm gonna try 250's in both positions. How are you doing, bro?

That should do it. From what I've heard from Lew, he says the JB with 250k pots has less highs than the CC with 500k pots, but it's very pleasing and sounds nice and balanced that way.

Doing good, man. Been busy with work, playing my guitars, doing stuff with the family and hanging around here.

Thanks man! I loved it too!

I NEVER should have sold that thing!

It was an early 80's AR-50, Made in Japan. I installed a Duncan Jazz neck (with series/parallel push-pull tone pot) and a Gibson Dirty Fingers in the bridge.
