Possibly the coolest thing anyone has done with a drumkit.

Reminds me of Zach Hill from Hella.

It warms my heart to see the Nintendo generation finally making all this music that reflects one of our major life influences.

Ha ha, how true. I'm going to cover the sonic the hedgehog theme after seeing this.

Man, I love oldschool SNES music, SEGA megadrive music, N64 music (Ocarina Of Time had great music)

I think I probably know all the Mario bros music off by heart

Dude, it was because of nintendo that I got into music..

Actually, I remember the first Time I beat Mario Land on the Gameboy...the music was so...*sniff* mario-memoriable. Made me think of life, death, beyond, but mostly of nintendo.

After that I was hooked...I eventually downloaded Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man, Descent, Zelda (Remixes)...Final Fantasy (multiple) Chrono Trigger...

All in MIDI hehehe. I still got probably 20 Megs of Video Game MIDIs

That place is game music midi file heaven! If you have a program that will convert midi to notation, then you're set! You can learn to play this stuff too! Just keep it interesting, like that Duracell guy from the original post.

    VERY COOL!

I used to mess around with stuff like that on my friend's Roland V set, triggering certain midi samples.

He's not a very clean player, IMHO, but it's still a cool video. There's a bunch of him on YouTube.

Aparently, Andre Duracell plays drums through a Nord Modulor G2 into I think a Marshall stack (though I don't think he always plays through the Marshall), IIRC.

musicthing.blogspot.com did a post about him a week or two ago.
