    Default Installation Help

I'm about to install my Hot and Cool rails in my Fat Strat but I've encountered a problem. A couple of months ago I sent my guitar to have a JB installed in the bridge position, but since this is the first time I've looked at the wiring after the JB was put in, I noticed that the guy who installed the JB wired the bridge differently than how it used to be.

This link is how it originally was:

Now, the two wires that connect to the switch in the same place (black and white on the Fender bucker and red and white on the JB) are not connected to the switch at all anymore. Instead, they are just soldered and taped together. Was this done to fix a phasing problem with the Fender singles? And if I install the new rails what would I have to change with the bridge wiring?

all that means is that you arent splitting the coil in the #4 position

if you want to split the coils youll have to attach those wires to the switch just like in the schematic
