The bridge pup on my gibson V makes a very weird buzz, like 60 cycle almost.
now, a friend told me that maybe a cable was touching the foil on the pickguard, but that wasnt it.
what else could it be?

I had a simular noise on my Epi Exployer and it was the pot had twisted and was toughing some of the sheilding paint..
I wonder what's up with your Gibson... Any chance of a broken solder connection?

cool to know you found it.. A few years ago i was going nuts trying to find a short in my Warmoth that had full sized Dimarzios... In the mid 90's Dimarzio's grounds were a solid wire.. i had accidently snipped the solid ground when i was pulling the coating off the wire.. extremely hard to see... Sad part was i had just bought a very cool used rack Multi FX with a pedalboard controll... a Digitech thing from the mid 90's.. kind of cool for the $200 price.. i ended up returning it thinking something must of been wrong with it.. it was my guitar the whole time.. it had sold before i could go back and get it
god damn you guys make me feel so damn youngk, like a baby or something. you talk about the 90's as if you were just there, and as if it was yesterday, for me i dont know the 90's at all, i dont remember stuff from the 90's because i was 10 and under than. i guess the problem is more that i have really bad memory haha, but still.
got a signature rule violation!!
