    Default Feeling kind of stupid...

So I've been playing for about 10-11 years, and have spent most of that time with the switch stuck in the bridge position. (I'm a metalhead.) The other day, I started playing with the neck pickup, and can't believe how much I've been missing out on all this time. All of a sudden, solos sound really big, smooth and fat, with tons of sustain. Who'd have thunk it?
Buy the book in my avatar. It's pretty cool.

i practice soloing on the bridge pickup so i cant hide behind the enck pickups tone. but when im playing live i use the enck pickup for a smoother tone. but my theory is, if you can do it good in the rbidge and it sounds good then it'll sound even better in neck position.

I use the neck pickup for rhythm and lead, and the bridge pickup for rhythm and lead.
