What do you think of this setup? need opinions...

This friday I am ordering an Epi LP Classic (quilted top, blue) and I have decided to go ahead and switch out pickups to an SH-2 Jazz neck and a SH-6 Distortion bridge...I play all kinds of rock...nothing else...anyone have any experience with the SH-2 + SH-6 setup?

I suggest that you familiarise yourself with the natural acoustic qualities of the instrument before deciding which pickups would suit it and your requirements.

I have an Epi Classic Birdseye. Epi's are HIGHLY variable in construction. I like to say they would pull a formica counter top out of the lunch room to finish a guitar if they ran out of whatever wood they started with, which could have been mahogany, alder, or gawd knows what.

However - a Distortion and a Jazz will match up as much as a Distortion will with any classic PAF - 59, A2P, PG, etc...Just depends on what you want out of the neck.

Then again - if all you are doing is rock, perhaps a Distortion neck.
