No, but I'll be trying an AIr Zone pretty soon. I'll post up a review.

So it seems we have 2 different camps here that have had and have expereince with Maple axes. One likes the CC the other likes the JB in maple. The axe I tried the JB in had a rosewood board and it had a slanted bridge bucker.

No, only in the right guitar does it rock! Those guitars are few and far between bro! Otherwise, I think it is a horrible pickup for me.

Right on, I like the high/mid spike of the JB but, I find the lows SUCK in any other wood except maple. Just flabby and loose as hell like an overweight 50 year old hooker.

RW helps keep things warm, and more importantly...the slant picks up (no pun intended) a little more bass to help even out the EQ..its slight..but it is an improvement.
I'm an internet person. All we do is waste time evaluating things that have next-to-zero real world significance.

Mine's a neck thru with an ebony board and a Wilkinson VS100 set to float. Maybe that's the difference I was hearing. Anyway, the JB was just not my cup o' tea in that axe.

Interestingly enough, that same JB worked out very well in another DC127. This one had a maple neck thru construction but with alder wings and a string thru body bridge. It almost sounds like a tele on steroids.

sounds like a job for the dimarzio breed?
this pup is a bit more tasty than a tone zone
t has the punch, harmonics and a real good output like a tone zone but just sounds more organic and if you really want to stay truer paf than try the patb-3 blues pup which i heard is a hidden jem, i dont even mind the way it looks if it sounds as great as everyone says!

I think that it sounds fine on my SG. It sounds a bit thin and bright so they must counter the problems people talk about. I really like it. It seems to be a love/hate pickup. You'll probably just have to try it to really find out.

hmm....lots of opinions here!!! I had an Air Zone in my old EBMM Axis and I really liked it (more then the Breed that was in there before that). The JB was my first thought, but I'm just not sure that It'll be tight enough.
