Duncan Distortion SH-6B in Jackson King V (alder body)?

hey guys,
I recently Purchased a Jackson King V that came with EMG81 and EMG85. I my self was never too big on EMG pickups to start with.

I have a Duncan Distortion Sh6B in my Lespaul which I really like.

How would a SH-6B sound in an Alder (Jackson king V) body? This is to use with Heavy Metal and Highgain distortion.

Any info would help.

I've got the TB6 Distortion in my USA RR1 (Alder body wings, Maple neck-thru, and ebony fretboard) and it sounds good on that for high gain. So, you should be alright with your King V. Using high gain on a V, with a Distortion pickup installed works well IMO.

My '84 Rhoads student model came stock with a Distortion bridge, no worries!! Great sounding pickup!!
