Anarchy by Budweiser
''And when I finally got to work today, I ate my Subway sandwich, and I drank my Coca-Cola Classic, and then I ate my Sunchips and I thought about the weekend when I'd fill up my Ford van with Mobil brand gas and drive to the Clear Channel venue and I'd drink myself a Budweiser and play my Fender guitar through my Fender amplifier and tell the kids with a straight face through a Shure microphone and JBL speakers that corporate rock is for suckers...'' Bomb the music industry - side projects are never successful
I can take them seriously when they give all thier music away for free and give free merch....so thats one band, everyone else is laughable.

What if they stole the gear?
As much as I understand the question, one is to know that, even though we cannot live outside of the system, except if we seclude ourselves completely, grow our own food, make our own clothes, etc... it is still possible, IMO, to criticize this system while, sadly, still being a part of it. Bands who sing about these subjects need a platform that would not be available to them in the particular lifestyle that would be involved if they freed completely themselves from the system.
However, I do recognize that most of the bands that cover these topics are sadly, mostly phonies that do it for the image it gets them....

Are you talking about the wannabe socialists who fly their private jets to gigs and then complain about people who drive SUV's and their oil consumption?
I think they're Kewl. And their "serious" audiences are funny.
I can't help but wonder how hard it is to remove their tongues from such a firm implantation in their cheeks.

Mmhmm... I see your point. But I cant think of a car manufacturer that isn't a corporation, otherwise I'd gladly purchase it. Ir A gas company thats privately owned. Things like that don't exist.
I'm against major corporation running everything, and I support local people and local stores as much as I can, but sometimes its just not possible.
Now Fender into Marshall is a different story. Shoulda gone to Blueline and Scott_F... all the commies doJ/K!

Ah........the burning question. The example i ponder is Wal Mart. At what point on it's way to becomingthe biggest retailer in the world and one of the five biggests companies period did Wal Mart cease to be the epitome of the American Dream started by a hard working hillbilly Joe Lunchbox driving a crappy old pickup in Arkansas and morph into the devil incarnate? I know that many coporations develop the institutional mentality and i dislike that beause it is bad business practice, but the whole "evil corporation" thing is BS. The are some that have gone loco like Worldcom, Enron, etc., but that is the case in EVERY field of human endeavor. ALL of these entities started off at some point as small businesses. Should we only like the ones that either stayed small or failed?![]()

God...you're such a troll....
Is everything in life an "all or nothing" proposition?
Should we never bother to give anything to a charity unless we can turn over our entire paycheck?
The answer is "no."
You pick your battles and do what you can with what you have. Sometimes that means have to compromise in one manner or another for the greater good.

I'd rather sing against the culture of constipation actually....eventhough I'm regular.
are you talking bout Rage Against the Machine? Cause Tom Morello plays his special fenders into marshalls...but singer De La Rocha has an ity-bity-microphone, so that evens things out.
NOT!!
(thats a not joke)

Name callin allready??
Not nice...
Bad example... If you preach about giving to charity and don't give anything yourself it is the same story... preaching while ignoring what your own actions is a problem, doing a little something for what you belive in, even if it's only a little, is a good thing.
Please, Skare, give something to charity and buy yourself something nice with what is left of your paycheck.![]()
You're right... and I'm ready to compromise on a Marshall Plexi and a Stratocaster (I'm humble)... And I will use them to sing against brands that control our life...

...and a stash for the band!!!!
