    Default Tele Surprise

Hi guys, i was at my Local Guitar shop, and someone brought them in this 90's tele, for a 'swap+cash new guitar' deal. I thought the pick guard looked strange. It was just a bridge pick up tele. No neck. So i said ' take it off guys, lets see whats under there'.
Strangest thing. Was routed for 3 pickups. Bridge, Middle neck. Tele Bridge, the others, strat. Going price is AU500 (so around 350 u.s). Rosewood neck/mahogany the rest. Its a no name tele. Electrics are bad. Neck is good though, so is the body. Toggles are stuffed, aswell as the volume and output jack.
A good 'do up' guitar? I dont have any pics wish i did.

hmmm, perhaps. Is it nicely built. Non-laminated body? Nice neck? Fretwork? Is it cheap? Bridge quality? etc etc. You'll know if its a good one for the money. Teles make nice project guitars. Especially if you put mr Kinman's pups in (an aussie too)
    Yeah!

They come in that configuration...not sure if they're routed like that or more a swimming pool style - I've never looked.
