    Default ? on wiring diagram

I believe this is the wiring I need for my strat. I'm using H-S-S setup and want to be able to split the bucker when mixed with the middle single coil.

On the humbucker in this diagram it shows both the red and white going to the switch. Wouldn't it be only one or the other, for one coil only? If so, which one?

Thanks! But how will I be able to choose which coil of bucker I want when it's split and in combination with the middle pickup?

You don't. This comes straight from SD: there's very little difference between the two sides of a Humbucking pickup, so it's not critical which side is chosen for splitting.

So I wired up a brobucker with two Fender Fat 50's single coils like the diagram above. Only thing is I switched the black and green wires to work with the Fenders. I think that's right. The tones seem to sound right with the positions, the brobucker is strong, but the it's is as noisy as the single coils. Even in the one up position where the bucker is split and mixed with the single coil, it's very noisy. The only position that's noise cancelling is the neck/middle position.

    What'd I do wrong?

Basically, you short the red/white pair to green for the stud coil to be active, and to black for the screw coil to be active. Since green is also used for ground, typically, the diagrams show shorting to ground. Its the same thing.

Since you reversed the black and green, it means you now have the screw coil active when split. If you want the stud coil active, short the red/white pair to green. Do this by running a jumper from the push-pull switch to where ever you have the green connected on the switch.

Edit: One last thought: If the Brobucker has a bare wire, (chassis ground), you still want to connect that to ground, even though you reversed black and green.

Thanks for the help. I'm still wondering if that will that cause all the 60 cycle hum? I'm still getting hum even from the bucker when run alone.

I did connect bare wire to ground. I'm going to recheck the connections
