Default webstrings.com - users please chime in

    hey bros,

i am considering ordering two dozen sets from them but before i whip out the dough...

i believe webstrings are no frills strings made by one of the bigger brand, maybe ernie ball, ghs, d'addario etc (i have a strong hunch its d'addario).

at the price, its unbeatable. but i would like to know for those who have used or using them, who do you think made them? i reckon it would be relatively easy to narrow down based on the feel and tone.

i am asking because i have acid sweat and the humidity level in singapore is an average of 60 to 80%.

i've had good results using dr's and curt mangan strings. fender, d'addario, dean markely, ernie ball basically don't work for me. the plain strings starts to rust in about a week.i am going to gig pretty regularly soon and i foresee going through at least two to three sets of strings per week.

will appreciate if someone is kind enough to shed some light on it.

    cheers!
    dani

I`v used them for a couple of months now, they sound bright simular to daddario. If you have toxic hands this probarly isn`t what your looking for.
They sound fantastic when new but i can`t say they`re longest lasting stings i`v used.

Do you wipe your strings down when you finish playing? i sometimes use WD40 on a rag to wipe rusty string if i pick up guitar i haven't played in while. It works pretty well.

I've been using Webstrings for a couple months now, and I'm not going back to buying regular strings. Maybe at Christmas, it'd be nice to get some Elixirs in the 'ol stocking, but Webstrings feel EXACTLY like Daddarios, I even bought one pack of each brand to do a comparison. I like Webstrings better then Ernie Balls, and Dean Markleys, they feel almost the same as Daddarios, and nowhere near DR's, Elixirs, or Labella's. Pretty decent strings for the price, I ordered two dozen 10-52's for my Jackson, and one dozen 10-46's for my Strat.

I started using webstrings a few years ago. Previous to this I used Ernie Ball strings.

I can't see not using them as long as they're there. The turn-around time is fantastic, the value is fantastic and the customer service is fantastic.

I have used them for at least 5 years now, maybe longer. They have been consistantly great the entire time. They do sound and feel very much like D'Addarios, but I have heard they come from the Dean Markley factory. With regular wiping down after playing they will last a fair amount of time.

When I am playing regularly, I change strings about once a month or slightly more. In all the time I have used them I have never had a string break. That might be partly due to having stainless steel frets (less friction).

I got some of the light-top heavy-bottom sets, and I was thuroughly dissapointed with them.

They feel like D'addarios at first, but they sure as hell don't wear like D'addarios.

End up goin "dead" after about a week or so. I don't think I'm ever gonna be buying from them again.
    Peace,
    Dan
