New Jackson content... pic heavy... Jackson MIA be warned!

Some of you guys know I've been waiting for a PC1 for a long time now. Well she finally arrived last friday. I had intially been waiting on a custom shop PC1 run which after much thought, wasn't for me anymore so I opted out. I found a beautiful chlorine PC1 to take its stead. Just rediculously beautiful and perfectly crafted. Suprisingly bright for a mahogany body. This thing is extremely articulate and amplifies your playing mistakes more than any other I have ever played. You have to be extremely accurate when playing it. For the guys who think Jackson necks are too flat feeling, then you need to play a PC1. Very solid neck with a much rounder and extremely comforable shape. I've never played a neck like it, its so awesome. The sustainer in this thing rocks. Its basically like a built in ebow except it sends all the strings into motion when you flip it on. You can also flip a switch to get a 5th order harmonic kind of like doing a sustained pinch harmonic. So many tonal options with the sustainer I'll be playing with it a long time. Anyways I don't know what to say other than its just another great work of art by Jackson. I was waiting for a sunny day to take some pictures but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. The flame fretboard doesn't show up too well. Sorry if they're a little dark. Without further a-do....

Those are amazing looking guitars, even better now that they have stratheads. There are so many tone options with these guitars. I am waiting for AMS to get the natural 1 in stock

I like the naturals as well. Whats the wait time January/February? I think thats when I heard the next shipment would be on PC1's from Jackson to all the dealers.

Do you know what pups you're going to put in them?

I'm on the lookout for a used neck thru USA Jackson in just the right graphic or color. I want a H/H stringthru, but I'd jump on an H/S/S if it had the finish I wanted. I would put an Original Parallel Axis TB in the bridge and the matching Parallel Axis stacks in the other two posisions.

I'll be interested to hear what you'll be putting in there!

Going for something different on this guitar than what I typically go for in terms of duncans. Breed neck in bridge, virtual vintage solo pro middle. The sustainer/driver is the neck pup so I'm not touching that one. My soloist H/S/S has a custom 5/jb hybrid, cool rails, hot rails.

Funny thing is that i have a USACG mahogany maple neck combo as well and it is brighter than one would think as well. I took it to my tech for some fixes and we heard it next to a Tom Anderson Alder maple top and alot of people thought the USACG sounder warmer and nicer. The Tom Anderson though was a work of art and set up perfectly!

Thanks man! Yeah I did just recently pick up that Charvel. All these guitars I've been wanting just sorta all popped up at once. I completely re-did my entire setup over summer and up till now. My soloist is the only piece of gear I have left that I owned at this time last year. If you buy and sell correctly you can upgrade and get new gear at little to no cost so thats what I kinda try and do. It is actually the heaviest piece I own. I don't attribute this to the mahogany though as much as the neck and more electronics this guitar has. I believe the sustainer has a pretty big magnet.
