Default Okay so I'm interested in this 1982 Les Paul on ebay...FIRE WHEN READY!

Okay I'm loving the mojo this thing has, and it looks cooler than my current Les Paul which is a near mint 2004 Standard in Heritage Cherry...I just really dig the mojo!!!

After all the discussion about what Les Pauls were bad/good I thought I'd get all your opinions on this baby before thinking about it too seriously.

Cheers everyone...give it your best shot

EDIT: God I'm a scatterbrain sometimes...here is the link:

I like it! I'd make sure the seller is willing to let you return it, in case there is a problem with it.

I have 6 Les Pauls but my 81 Standard has gone to every show I've done for the past 16 years! Don't let anyone tell you the 70-80's Pauls are junk. I've never played a guitar as good as this, there are good one's out there! Mine looks similar to the one you're looking at. I took out the stock PUP's and dropped in zebra sh-6 and sh-1 = tone heaven in my opinion! I played a new Les Paul premium last week at Guitar Center and was very dissapointed! I like the mojo of a much played/worn out Les Paul like you're looking at! Buy it! Or let me.....

i like worn out LP's too... this 82 has a maple neck just like my 76... it will be heavy as well.. Lp's from that era are generally heavy, just the way i like them!!!

Looks really good - I'd probably go for it as well. I loved the wine red one's they did in the eighties as well

If you love it, go for it. However - as I recently discussed with a bunch of nit-pickers, It's all about the feel for me. I can't play a guitar on ebay. If it's big cash & no return...think twice. But that's me. It can look like hell, but it had better play well!

You guys might be able to help me with the serial number...I was wondering if it was a thicker 50's profile or thinner 60's profile neck on it?

I've asked the guy but he hasn't got back to me yet...

Seeing as prices are so outragous in Australia, your best bet would probably be to buy a brand new Gibson Les Paul from Ishibashi in Japan.

All the standards up until just about 4-5 years ago had the 50's neck.

Wow just got some much more detailed pics from him on email and it's definitely not a pancake body, and it all looks pretty good up close (apart from the obvious finish wearing...but that's kinda cool anyway).
