well i would be really happy if God would be there. It will be the end of the big problems on earth. But there is no god ,at least not as any religion can describe.
The Loving heavinly father let kids die from hunger ,get raped ,beaten and whatnot!do the prayers work?NO!
The same god lets people just die in the name of him.Or kill in the name of him!Does prayers work? No!

i can show you so many examples why i do not believ in god.And all of them are logical ,rational.

All of the Religions have their believers in different Gods ,and all of them are really "shure" taht their God is the only one.So wich one is the real God?
Why do god send Muhammed and let him say that Jesus was the Messiah ,but not his son?
Why do Jesus and God let people beleiev in Muhammed?Etc...so many rational questions ,and no answers.at least rational ones!

For what it's worth, God is not logical, because logic is a man made concept. God defies logic by doing the impossible. I read that carbon dating was also flawed, but unfortunately can't remeber where it was. As far as why does evil exist? That's a question philosophers have been addressing since who knows when. But I can tell you, God will be here!!! Also God allows man to have free will. That is why so many religions exist. That's also a key argument as to why evil exists, but I am shamefully limited on the knowledge of that.

Isn't it still better to go through your life thinking there IS a God, and that you have to give an accountability for your life? All your questions ARE rational, but they don't disprove God exists. The theory is WE brought sin into the world, not God through our free will, which is the thoery of why many bad things happen.

I will say Hypothetically speaking, but what if there is a God? what are your excuses going to be...are you going to tell him that he doesn't exist cause you say so?

I'm also referring to "building blocks" as something that could have survived the Big Bang's heat, and apparently it may have been nothing. Enlighten me, if you know of such a thing.

Here's something in the Hawking lecture I linked to...

The early appearance of life on Earth suggests that there’s a good chance of the spontaneous generation of life, in suitable conditions. Maybe there was some simpler form of organisation, which built up DNA. Once DNA appeared, it would have been so successful, that it might have completely replaced the earlier forms. We don’t know what these earlier forms would have been. One possibility is RNA. This is like DNA, but rather simpler, and without the double helix structure. Short lengths of RNA, could reproduce themselves like DNA, and might eventually build up to DNA. One can not make nucleic acids in the laboratory, from non-living material, let alone RNA. But given 500 million years, and oceans covering most of the Earth, there might be a reasonable probability of RNA, being made by chance.

Well Davey, i was a believer..Since i am a Vet ,i was believing in god and praying ,i was amazaed about his powers everytime i looked through a Microscope to a nerve cell.
    But i woke up!
All the religions out there are just gaining power and managing people.

If god relly excists ,and i die as an unbeliever ,He/she/it would be really proud of me.Since i am a very good person ,i don't drink ,smoke ,rape ,do drugs ,i am not gay ,and mostly ,i use my brain to "understand" the nature ,the universe. If God didn't want you to think ,he would not give you a brain right?
So i am really relaxed about that!
But if God really excists ,it would be really bad for many beleievers ,since tehy think they sins as they want to ,andgo to the church and "clear" the bill!

Oh BTW ,if god do not excist ,It will be bad for all beleievers.since heaven and hell do not excist at all!

    i am not %100 shure about god's excistence.And i don't have to.It is God's problem to convince me about his excistence.Not mine!

Well I can still grasp, why I do not get religion or anything close to it here
If there was a god...oh gods...I would still not give a damn!
I have no use for any of it, I live my life on my own, because I can and will, I take my own responsibility over it, I take bumps and blips as they come, this life is insane enough on its own, so I have very little use, or time for anything as vague and depressing as gods and stuff like that.
Religion can be interesting and all that to read about, but I am never going to worship anything!!!
    What is the point?
I am deeply content with just living my life to its end, only thing that bothers me is that I will have leave behind my kids and such in the future when I am gone, but then again...life is dangerous...you die from it!
But that is how it is, and I can do little else than just to accept it as it is, and I can do that, so no need for much else!
Why did I write all this??

He's refering to RNA biology and primordial RNA life forms. Basically, viruses.

    Not exactly.

Quantum physics is very interesting and well worth studying. It would be better to do more reading on it than to be misled by me about its conclusions.

Ah, the classic "The most pleasant reality is the one true reality" argument. A hard one to counter.

So by being logically about it...god created sin and used the "free will" as a vessel for that...

No...God created us, we make decisions. With your theory, did God create rape and murder? think about what you said, seriously.

It's almost as if God can be all powerful, or all loving, but not both.

You are taking everything completely out of context. We have free will, we decide what we do, we are not robots. Murder, lust, envy, greed are not from God...they are things that we do. If you fail to see this, then I cannot help you.

I cannot think of the countless scholars who understand this stuff even better than I do. The theories make sense to them, whether they believe IN it or not...they even say it's based on faith.

Anyways, I'm going to leave this discussion for now. Before, when Gearjoneser, Guitar Toad, and Les Strat were responding, it actually was a pleasant one for a while.

The idea is that in a deterministic universe, God knows all.

In a random universe, then nothing we do is by choice.

In either case, we are not to blame for our actions - assuming God exists.

    See it like that Davey...
God is allmighty ,he does not have a past ,a future ,he knows everything and is timeless right?.So he knows every Sin that e can do or will do before we do!
I don't take it out of context.I just don't get when people think that we don't "get".
We get it right davey ,but it does not make sense ,we i think i will get punished from what god created ,gave me the will to do bad things ,and make even many bad things appealing!???
Those are really rational questions for me ,and i can understand that you have to answer everything alone now and it is not appealing anymore.
I think you are a great guy and it makes sence to talk with you.But everything you said to me ,or many others ,are things that i allready know and deny!Or just don't believe.Don't take it personal please!
