Hello, I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I did a little forum search but haven't come to a definite answer.
The deal is:
I need a Strat-style humbucking pickup to work well in a H-S-H guitar. The other pickups in the combination are a TB-1 full-sized trembucker in the bridge and a special custom made pickup (the closest comparison is the GL Z-coil - a single-sounding humbucker with one coil under the treble strings and the other coil under the bass strings, connected to cancel hum). Sound-wise, it's pretty close a standard Tele-style pup but without the hum.
I'd like the middle pickup to be able to hang with the TB-1 output-wise. It need not necessarily be as powerful, but it should not be too far off.
Now to my question. I believe one of the Duncan Stack pickups will do the trick, but which one will it be?
I understand the Hot Stack is not all that hot, so it might work fine (the bridge version I believe).
Can anyone prove or disprove this to me?
Thank you
Tony
