    Last time took me a little over an hour, I think!!
    And it sped up a little with each string until you got to the last couple and you were a little too buzzed to care how fast you were doing it.

    Yeah, I break the wind. Standard tuning. Usually 28 and 38. I've used Ernie Balls, GHS, and D'addarios, they all do it.

    How does keeping the ball end on going to help you when a string breaks? If you wind enough on the post, you can accomplish the same thing. The ball end doesn't do jack **** but look cool.

    It does make it easier to unwind and then wind back. The string never comes out of the post.
