Default Advice: fix up Ibanez to get rid of?

    All,

Recently, my Lite Ash Strat, as you know, was delivered. I'm TDY to New Mexico right now.

I had, before I saw the deal on the strat, asked a local shop to order two a2pf pickups for the Ibanez. I told 'em I was only around for a small amount of time, and that if they were in before I left, I'd pick 'em up. They called, ironically, today (the day the strat got delivered), saying they were in.

I never acknowledged the phone call, so here's my decision: do I fix up the Ibanez before selling it? Is it worth it? Will I get my money back, sort of, on that guitar if I install them? Or should I never acknowledge their phone call and try to get rid of the Ibanez as is (only bridge pickup)?

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Even if you sell the guitar and say "Brand spankin new Duncan AII pro humbuckers Installed" Its not gonna get ya that much more for the guitar. I say toss whatever ya got lieing around in the neck, and call it a day. No point in spending money fixing up something your not gonna keep, ya know? Esspecially if you'll get little to No return on your investment.

Almost any guitar will bring in more sold as parts than sold as a whole

unless you got them 10 bucks a piece, no, you wont get the money back. better to sell the axe stock

Do whatever you want with the guitar, but do acknowledge the call, just out of plain courtesy. After all, they're not calling to offer you pickups, they're calling to tell you the pickups YOU requested are in.

It's not stock though: there's a hole where the neck and middle pickup are supposed to be (I was going to replace them but I never did).
