I don't like cell phones..ok got a new one last year but I made sure it has no friggin gimmicks!

I'm with you man. If I wanted a camera, I'd buy a camera. If I wanted an mp3 player, I'd use my mp3 player and so on.

I've had my card for years... it's just a matter of making sure you save the numbers on the card not the memory. If anything goes wrong your messages might be lost but not the numbers.
