Anybody know what I'm talkin about?

I like chillin with my friends, a group of about 4 dudes and 3 chicks or so, they're all cool, and we have fun when we chill.

But every now and then, some of em bring along this other guy, of whom I can't freaking stand. The sort of guy that is always trying to siphon money out of his friends for his latest moneymaking scheme/hobby/spur-of-the-moment idea. Always has big plans and talks at great legnth about them, but never follows through with anything. A bull**** artist.

Now, I'm a pretty passive person. I'm not prone to hating people. And I dont hate this guy, I just dislike the **** outta him.

I'm not alone though; none of the girls in our group ever want to hang out with him because he's a misognyistic prick. The dudes hang out with him cause he's "fun". I have to wonder why this potent mixture of ignorance and arrogance seems so attractive to other males. I tried talkin w/ a few of them about it, and while I'll get a *mild* agreement from a couple of em, the other two just brush it off. "He's a fun guy", "nah dude, he's a fun-GUS".

My solution? Hang out with the chicks. If the others wanna hang out with a prick so be it, I just won't be around to share in the idiocy.

Not really an advice-seeking thread, more of a venting thread. But, hey, will a dancing banana do?

Hollywood is full of those kinds of people. Sometimes it's the "I can make you a star" type

they just give off that "be careful" vibe. You know they'd screw you over the minute you're alone.

The worst thing to do is get stuck in a car with one.

It seems I'm also the only one who's really bothered by their presence... I can get other people to vent about him and say "yeah... that night turned out kind of bad..." but the next time they see em it's "Hey Bill! We should hang out again, dude! "

I'm thinking I need new friends. Went bowling tonight with a couple of my friends, lo and behold he shows up. Nobody who was bowling even told him bout it. Sheesh.

Goes on to talk about how he just spent the "best three bucks he's ever spent". Got a big bag of spices from the kitchen, paid one of his brother's younger friends three dollars to eat it. Said it was nutmeg.

Then watched as the younger friend freaked out for an hour after discovering that nutmeg is toxic in high doses.

****ing sadist. I got outta there ASAP.

My old friends I only contact when they contact me... I don't go out of my way.
