    Default Quarter pounder tops woo

    Hiya,

put a SSL-7 in the bridge of my strat couple days ago and woop woop indeed it sounds amazing. You can get a real powerful clean/slight breakup sound piece of piss which i'm very happy about because the bridge pickup on my Tokai strat was awful.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the other two pickups on my strat. I don't think i'd need them to be as powerful as the SSL-7 but maybe just a touch more fatty sound yet keeping it fairly stratty.

    Cheers

i used to use an custom for strat in the neck with a vintage for strat in the middle with a qp in the bridge and really liked how versitle it was.

a ssl5 in the neck will give you a fat strat tone with more mids, bottom and output. the ssl1 in the middle will give you more classic notch position tones (itll quack but more like a 50 lb duck with the other two pups being as hot as they are) and a great vintage strat clean tone

I had one in the bridge of my Strat for a few years. I kept the stock Fender pickups for the other two. This is a 2000 American Series Strat. Blackmore, baby!

In 2005, I swapped the whole set for WCR SR pickups. I wanted to use my Strat in a different way. But if I get another SSS, that QP goes back to work.
