Default 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard

    ***SOLD***

Title says it all. 2003 Standard in Lightburst. Top and back are in very decent shape, a few normal dings and such, but nothing that is anything outside of a little playwear, as I think you all know I take great care of my gear. Specs are below:

    50's neck
59' Bridge (double creme, I have the nickel cover)
59' Neck (double creme, A4 magnet, I have the nickel cover)
Tone Pro's Locking AVR II Bridge
    Leightweight Aluminum Tailpiece
Factory OHC black w/ grey interior and silk liner
Gotoh Locking Keystone Tuners, same footprint as the originals, no drilling or reaming of the headstock.
    Bone Nut

As some of you may know, I stared to relic the guitar, but didn't get any farther than getting some finish checking on the headstock of the guitar, so it is not in 100% condition. Excluding the facepate, I would give it 9-10 condition. It would be very easy to get a replacement veneer and put on, but I dig the way it looks.

It plays like a dream, and sounds awsome. I have finally found the right pickups for this guitar. It has a nice, balanced mindrange attack, great lows and very nice highs, without being harsh. I've spent a lot of time and energy getting this thing to be a 100% player, and to sound fantastic.

I'll put these pics up for now, and I'll get some others added tonight. Thanks for looking, and I really need the cash so it is priced to move.

What the headstock looks like now.

lol Sorry your 'relic-ing' didn't go so hot.

What a gorgeous guitar though. If I knew I could get the money within the next week, and if I also knew I didn't need money for anything coming up, I'd sell my Gibby and my amp and I'd be all over that. Too bad.

Someone else is gonna get realy lucky with that! Good luck Jeff. What a beauty.

On that note, you mind if I ask why you're selling it? So pretty!

I'll bet you could wetsand the headstock, spray a little lacquer and make it good as new. Much less invasive than swapping the veneer.

I just bought an SG that a previous owner tried to gouge out the crown inlay on the headstock. I wetsanded the headstock down, buffed it out and it looks great.

If I had the dough I'd be all over it.

This is a standard not a classic?

Yes, it's a standard. AA top, 2003, 50's neck. Inlays are not the yellow/green of the Classic.

It's really a super guitar. It's so good that I sold my 57' RI Goldtop because this one sounded and played so good. It actually breaks my heart to sell it, but I have to take care of the family first.

This guitar is sold to my good friend B Bent. Enjoy and play in good health, and take good care of her. She has been my baby, and I'll miss her terribly. At least I have the comfort of knowing she is going to an excellent home.
