Default Krazy glue to fix broken flanges/flaps on Classic Stack?

A buddy sold me a neck Classic Stack because he broke off the flanges trying to pop out the inserts. I guess he wanted to put it in his Charvel which is a body mounted guitar, and this pickup is designed to go into a pickguard. Anyway, he gave it to me real cheap. My wife has some Krazy glue, think that will hold the flaps on so I could use it in my Jackson? I know it's got a great rep, but I've used it on some things and it wasn't as great as they say. I got the inserts out by the way so the holes that would mount it to the body are the only things missing, lol.

    What inserts are these?
In 1861 as the Confederate forces were about to fire on Fort Sumter, the blue and gray had infinitely more in common than the blue and red today. What fellowship can "the truth shall set you free" ever have with "there is no truth, only points of view", or "what is truth?"

Secession would be a horror. But barring a major national crisis like a Black Death magnitude epidemic or nuclear attack to erase once and for all the myth that truth is negotiable, it is coming.

The Classic Stack is a totally sealed pickup and the screws that hold the pickup thread into metal inserts that are kinda molded into the pickup. I don't know what he did to try to get them out but he broke the mounting flanges off the side of the pickup. The whole pickup is plastic and was just wondering if anyone has ever used Krazy glue on plastic and what the results have been.

Well, i know superglue melts plastic a little then bonds it, use as little as possible, maby try it out on a seperate piece of plastic first...

I would say super glue should fine, if not go to a place like lowe's or home depot and find some glue or epoxy. There are numerous glues there that should do the trick, but super glue should be fine. As far as the melting aspect with plastic, its very minimal if at all.

Cool! Thanks a million fellas. I don't mind a partial melting because heck, it's broken already and you won't see the flaps once it's installed in the body. I just didn't want to screw up such a great pickup beyond repair .

    I'm gonna go glue now.

I've never had much luck with superglue but I've used epoxy to fix broken off pickup legs. Get an epoxy kit at the hardware store (a tube of epoxy and a tube of hardener); mix the two and build up as much as you can under the broken leg.

The Krazy glue worked great. Bonded fast and here now, the next day, it's solid as a rock.
