Default What pickups should I put in my Les Paul Studio?

I just bought a Les Paul Studio from Ebay.

Just wondering what kind of pickups I should install if I wanted to upgrade...
I play hard rock, garage punk etc. through a Marshall JMP from the late 70's.

I think it has the original pickups right now.

Anyways, any comments would be appreciated cuz I don't know anything about pickups.

I would recommend you play it just as it is for a good while, including playing around with pup heights and polepiece radius; then, if you decide you don't like the stock pups come here and describe what you want to change about its tone. You just might find that 490/498 set works just fine for what you play, especially the 498T bridge.
