He's getting more and more like KG looked like in the beginning of The Pick of Destiny.

I bet he goes crawling back in a year or so.

He may not be an endorser anymore, but that doesn't mean he has stopped using their products. It's nice to see that goofy bastard JerryJG is keeping busy!

Well, I just hope that:

a) The new Fender pups are available to the public instead of being super secret, "You have to buy a $2000 guitar just to get your hands on these" kind of pickups.

b) Said pickups unleash the fockin' fury!

I noticed that too. I wonder what the -9 Karma is for.

The Karma is a like an approval rating or a like/dislike kinda thing. From the looks of it, he hasn't changed much.

I always wonder about the exact reasons for the end of a business arrangement like this. Who burned the bridge, and why?

I tried to get into DiMarzios a few times. But didn't really work.

Which ones did you try? I really like Breeds and YJMs.

I tried an Air Norton but that's really not fair because I hate vintage output pickups and shouldn't have even tried it. But I also had problems getting into the Super Distortion.

Never tried the old Super D. Maybe someday when I'm bored and have an extra Les Paul sitting around.

Me, and it looks like at least several other people in this thread, as well as people from many different guitar forum boards

Check out the Super 3... much more modern sound. A great setup is the Super 3 (bridge) and Super 2 (neck).

I just appreciate the fact that he is always: Yngwie J Malmsteen, so you don't get him confused with all the other Yngwie Malmsteen guitarists out there.

I wouldn't be suprised if he just uses Fender Vintage Noiseless. I've read many times that he likes the natural strat tone but hates the noise. The Dimarzio HS-2,HS-3 and YJM pickups to me, after trying them, are too bassy to get real strat tone or quack.

Anyway, we'll see, but it seemed stacked single coils are old technology compared to what's available out there now
