Default Props to my doc!!!!

Home sick from work today,(wife's birthday no less ) with a touch of the flu,(just the plain old flu not hamthrax).
Fari had to go to the doc for a t.b. shot,(mandatory in her line of work) and she mentioned to the doc,(we have the same one) how I felt.
Doc asks her a few questions and scribbles out a perscription.
When she got to the pharmacy the doc had called ahead to make sure they had it in stock and the pharmacy had already called my insurance company and already had the paperwork ready so it was all covered.
Wow,talk about service.
Something called 'Tamiflu',I already feel better.
Which mean back to work tomorrow.
Still I'd rather be frustrated at work than sick at home.

I thought tamiflu is specifically for hamthrax. I'll have to look it up

edit: looks like it treats the common flu as well. Get well soon!!!

I read the little paper inside the box.
It says to start taking it within 2 days of the first flu symptoms.
Apparently it slows down some enzyme that spreads the virus.
Hamthrax is a form of influenza and Tamiflu is a general pill to help you feel better specifically for the flu.

lol @ Hamthrax.

btw, Tamiflu does nothing to prevent or improve H1N1 ... only the seasonal flu.

Remember when bird flu was the big concern? That's when I first heard about Tamiflu.

Probably why I was perscribed it.
I just have seasonal flu.

Source: my doctor

Although my error on assuming it does help with it.

Sweet! Stick with that homeslice. Nowadays that kind of service is a rarity.
Get well soon, Chef.

Peace,

Darrin

I heard on the news tonight that there is a shortage of Tamiflu. Some pharmacies have to mix it their self from various ingredients that make the stuff up.
