But tbh i donīt feel the single locking wannabe floyds are really worth repairing, youīd be better off getting a cheap double locking floyd off ebay for 20 bucks IMO. Last edited by Zerberus; 11-07-2009 at 11:04 AM. |

1. Proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation please.
2. You're better off doing one of two things: Blocking the bridge and not worrying about using the trem, or junking it and picking up something else. Best of luck, and clean your guitars every once in awhile, mkay?

whats better about the doubel locking against the single locking? does the double locking make you stay in tune better? better tone?

Depends a bit on whether or not and how you use it, though.. if itīs set for dive only and almost never used, it shouldnīt be an issue anyway... |

I prefer the single locking ones myself, saves time doing string changes.

^^ try it with the single locking and see if it stays in tune well enough for you. If it doesnīt, upgrade to double locking.

That guitar you're building is one serious piece of crap from the sounds of it - nothing works like it's supposed to.
![]() Try finding a used Jackson JT580, that should work a treat if it fits. |
