Essentially it's the cap on the feedback around the first op-amp section. Bigger cap means less bass cut. It'll also tend to increase "flub" with higher gain settings though.

There are more boosts and overdrives out there than there are guitarists, and everyone has a different favorite. It makes more sense in threads like these to talk in generalities. Ultimately, you need to get your ears in front of as many as possible WITH YOUR AMP to decide what YOU like best.
