Did you see them? They are pretty much incredible looking guitars! Look at the finishes...
http://www.prsguitars.com/index.html I was just amazed by these guitars. You can actually see that they've put nice bindings to the neck, which is making me crazy cause I love bindings. Tho I was wondering why don't they put bindings on their regular guitars? |

These look amazing. I love the darker finishes. Here's an awesome stripped down simple rocker right here...

...and this one. You're right, Franky, the white neck binding really classes things up.

Those are actually really nice. Predictions on the price tags might be a bit scary though.
I saw an interview with Paul a while back where he said he didn't use binding, because a perfectly installed and polished fret-job should be as smooth as a neck with binding. It does look good on those guitars, but I have never been a binding guy myself. What interests me more is those new pickups they are putting on the new models. Ah, if only I had crazy, insane amounts of money.... |

They should just bring back the CE, but thatīs just me wanting one without having to go private Stock (which I probably eventually would anyway).

The CE was, and is, my favorite guitar in their lineup (yes I know I am biased because I own one). I will never, ever, ever understand why they pulled the plug on them. Of all the PRS guitars, they were also one of the more affortable models. Basically a Custom with a maple neck.

Everybody knows how much I love PRS, but I'm not digging some of the newer stuff. It's too fancy. A guitar player doesn't need those stupid bird inlays, the moon inlays were great as is. The problem I see is that every new model has to have those freakin' bird inlays on 'em and they drive me nuts! Binding, while it may look nice, is going to give PRS a reason to charge an extra grand on already decently expensive prices. The more and more I see 10 tops, the more and more I feel like I'm going to hurl. PRS needs to bring back more of the barebones simple stuff. I've always wanted to try a CE - those looked like really cool guitars and I like the thought of a bolt on maple neck PRS.

Did anyone else notice that the Custom 22 has been discontinued? That surprises me, even with the new models, I thought the Custom 24 and Custom 22 summed PRS as a whole pretty well.

![]() I think it comes down to pretty simple math for them. If they don't sell a certain amount of guitars in a certain model, it is done. The 24 fret custom has always done better in the market for them than the 22. |
