I'm not at all happy with the condition of the Single Recto I received from haiz69. He claimed that the amp was in great shape except for one ding on the front. When I received the amp, the two sides were SEPERATING FROM THE BOTTOM. I asked him about the issues and here's the response I received:

Quote:
I guess I never really payed attention. I mean, usually the amp is on the cab, so I never looked at it.
Sorry, but I'm calling BS. Here are some pics of the amp:

This isn't just ripped tolex...the actual cab is seperating. FWIW, I have over 140 + feedbacks on e-bay with ZERO negative's.

It looks like it may have taken a nasty fall at some point.

Agreed...but the damage didn't happen while it was on its way to me. That thing was packed up VERY well with a bunch of heavy bubble wrap. One of the best packed amps I've ever received....plus, the box was mint.

it's hard to say what could have happened. Maybe a tumble from the top of the cab even.

I must say that I do not understand how you guys dare to buy stuff without seeing or trying the stuff first! Especially if you dont know jack about the person selling the goods.

I've never bought stuff like this, and have probably missed out an a lot of good deals because of it, but at least the stuff I buy is in a condition I am aware of!

Have sold quite a few items like this though, and everyone have been treated correctly.

i was 18 last year and live in canada...... but ive never traded on the net or bought anything of the net ever. Its just to shady. If i was to ever crack and buy something of the net i'd probbaly do it here, and buy it form someone i trust, i think just my psending some time on the forum you get a good idea of who is a trust worthy character and who is shady as a downtown drug dealer.

Well...something must have happened, because he actually sent it.
I still consider him a bad trader...no returned emails or phone calls.
But I did receive the item...3 weeks later..

Oh wow....

I called him up a few times at around three in the morning (his time) and left a few messages. One saying, "Credibility is the only currency in this world that really matters and right now you are broke and peniless. We will be watching you."

Watch out for this guy on ebay, he's trying to make sales outside of ebay by setting up fake "private auctions" for listings he has ended early. He tries to get you to wire him the money through MoneyGram after sending you a spoofed email from "eBay".

I'm sure he creates different accounts every time, but here's the info that I saw him with:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

ebay user: leomarcone55
name: Leonard Marcone
email: leomarcone55@yahoo.com

address:

mutt, parts esp "lynch" on ebay. seller "cdsespresso"

watch out for a guy on ebay who goes under the id cdsespresso
he's selling a screwed up esp m1 body w/ a warmoth reverse kws neck w/ fake esp decal.
i won an auction on ebay last week or so and i paid IMMEDIATELY via paypal.

after receiving payment and holding onto my money AND guitar for a few days; he then decided it would be appropriate to try and get me to pay his paypal seller fees ($11.47 to be exact- lame huh?).

he never shipped the guitar and decided to talk trash, constantly reminding me that he thought i should pay his paypal fees and compensate him.
he 'sat on' the guitar for a few days. i had to repeatedly tell him that i wasn't going to compensate for seller's fees that were HIS responsibility. he pressed the issue further like a jerk.

i decided this wasn't a good way to do business.

i asked him that we just close out our transaction since he wanted me to pay his fees and i felt this was just stupid and wrong to demand that of me.
his reply was he would do business "his way".

i finally contacted paypal and square trade... he refunded the money but left me negative feedback.

fee extortion is WRONG. screw this guy. he stomped his feet like a petulant child over $11.47 that i supposedly owed him, he flipped when i wouldn't back down.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1
if anyone is interested in this mutt, parts esp, warn them... there's better guitars out there and there's better human beings to deal with.

It looks like it was 100% at the time.

Anyhow, I don't understand why people even take it upon themselves to upgrade their account so they can take credit card payments. I did it once, and I used my one time downgrade option as soon as I found out that I had to pay fees from then on. My transanctions are free again, and if someone isn't sending Paypal bank funds, then I have no bussiness for him. Same goes for people who try to charge me for their SELF inflicted fees.

Very unfortunate what happened to your perfect feedback score, Deluxe.

thanks draco. it is what it is. i'd rather lose .02 of my 100% cos i didn't "bend over" for this arse.
i actually paid w/ fees straight from my paypal acct. he got hit w/ the usual 2.9% fee and in EVERY email he said it was my responsibility. amazing.

it's cool though- he likes shania twain apparently! what a tool.

hey carrot, that math is nothing... you should see some of the email this kid was sending me. o-n-e instead of w-o-n. he also called me a hypochondriac which was odd... i mean- i feel fine! lol
