Star Performer - Patrick Kirshtner

Santa Barbara native Patrick Kirshtner recently took over the reigns in our artist relations department. While he pulls double duty with customer service, sales and tech support, his enthusiasm really shines when it comes to Artist Relations. In his short time with us, Patrick has signed up a horde of metal and hardcore artists, thanks in part to the recent release of Blackouts active humbuckers. Some of those artists include Mick Thomson of Slipknot, Dino Cazares of Divine Heresy and Fear Factory fame, Children of Bodom’s Alexi Laiho, members of Kylesa, High on Fire, Dimmu Borgir, Darkane, Misery Index, and Helloween.

A lifelong musician, Patrick has spent years on the road, either
supporting and organizing tours for other bands or playing bass with his own band, Blown to Bits. Patrick’s weapon of choice is Quarter Pound-loaded Fender® Jazz Bass® rebuilt by Danny Ransom of Real Guitars San Francisco after Mother Nature tried to destroy it and the rest of his band during Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

When he’s not pounding out extreme doom and thrash metal, the San Francisco State University graduate dabbles in photography, petting his cats, and an ongoing motorcycle restoration project.
