Pickup Spotlight - AHB-1 Blackouts 7-String Version
Blackouts – Seymour Duncan’s new aggressive active pickup – has already proven to be a smash success. But what about our 7-string friends? Fear not. We’ve decided to offer two, count ‘em, versions of Blackouts for 7-string aficionados. We call them Phase I and Phase II. The Phase I set is a direct retrofit for passive 7-string humbuckers made by Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio®. The Phase II set is a direct retrofit for EMG®’s 707 pickup. Either way, you get all the benefits of Blackouts, including the differential preamp with balanced inputs, for 12dB to 14dB less hum, the expanded dynamic range, less compression, and an EQ curve with more mid-range.
