Winter NAMM Preview

If it’s January, it must be NAMM-time! Seymour Duncan and D-TAR will be back in the same location as last year: Booth 4358 in Hall C. Expect lots of great new products, including our latest stompboxes, the brand new SFX-04 Twin Tube Mayhem™ (see page 1), the never-before-seen SFX-08 Power Grid distortion, and the critically acclaimed SFX-07 Shape Shifter™ tap tremolo. As for pickups, we’ll be rolling out SHPR-1 P-Rails™ (see page 6), the SH-15 Altenative 8 humbucker, and two 7-string versions of Blackouts™, our new 9-volt active humbuckers for guitar (see page 8). We’ll also have a new Basslines pickup, the SSB-5NYC 5-string Passive Phase II NYC Soapbar. If you’ve seen Fodera basses, you’ve seen this pickup which was previously only available from the Custom Shop.

Evenings will feature private receptions at Seymour Duncan’s suite at the Anaheim Hilton. Thursday’s will be centered on Seymour Duncan pickups, Friday’s will be D-TAR night, and Saturday night will be all about Seymour Duncan stompboxes. Each night, we’ll have sneak peaks at new products, meet and greet with Seymour and our R&D team, and, of course, ample food and drink. These invitation-only receptions will go from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you’re interested in attending, please contact your Seymour Duncan rep and we’ll get’cha in.

As for concerts, Friday night we’re co-sponsoring the reunion of ‘90s super group Extreme with Nuno Bettencourt (Classic Stack Plus) on guitar. That’ll take place at the Hilton. And if that wasn’t enough, on Saturday, the Seymour Duncan Band, with our own Seymour W. Duncan on guitar, will appear at The Grove in Anaheim, opening for jam rockers moe.

While you’re walking the NAMM-show floor, make sure to check the high-end guitar and bass manufacturers that feature our pickups.
