Star Performer - Rosa Quintero, Quality Control Lead

Rosa is certainly a star performer. She’s been with Seymour Duncan for 18 years, starting in Coil Hookup and Assembly, and eventually working her way up to Final Inspection, where she spent 14 years before taking the reigns as Quality Control Lead. Now, Rosa oversees the Material Review Board, which meets weekly to ensure that all quality issues are dealt with effectively. For example, when we use a new outside vendor, Rosa qualifies them by inspecting 100% of their incoming materials.

Rosa's station on the Production Floor is the last step before the pickups get packed. Before she passes them, they get checked for d.c. resistance, magnetic polarity, impedance and cosmetics. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Rosa came to the USA in 1974. She and her husband have two sons, aged 14 and 17. When she's not inspecting pickups, she enjoys reading, walking and travel - her next trip will be to Hawaii.
