If you or anyone you know is going to be anywhere near Melbourne, Australia this September, make sure to attend User Group Day Oz. Organized by Dominant Music, Seymour Duncan's distributor Down Under, the day will feature a meet and greet with Seymour, a tone seminar, a chance to jam with the man himself, and, of course, some of that famous Aussie BBQ. And best of all, it's free.

Tempe Music Fest

This past spring, Seymour attended the Tempe Music Festival in honor of Fender's® 60th Anniversary. The festival attracted the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, John Mayer, and a host of other top acts. Seymour was on hand to do a pickup winding demonstration alongside one of his heroes, Ms. Abigail Ybarra. Abby is the only employee who has been working for Fender continuously since those days of yesteryear, when Leo Fender ran the show. Seymour started his career as a repairman in the Fender Soundhouse in London. Nowadays, he's the only person with a Fender signature model guitar who is not known primarily for being a guitar player.

D-TAR Mama Bear Videos Posted

We've been talking about Mama Bear a lot lately. That's because it's a revolutionary digital preamp for acoustic guitar that eliminates that annoying "quack" sound so common with under-saddle pickups. In addition, it provides amazing versatility by allowing an acoustic guitar to emulate up to 16 of the greatest acoustic guitars of all time. Well, don't take our word for it. Watch the videos. We've posted five videos on dtar.com, each of which features session ace John Jorgenson putting Mama through the paces. Check it out. But be prepared to be amazed.
