We're happy to report that Bruce Kulick (Duncan Custom), former lead guitarist for KISS, is making a complete recovery from a gunshot wound to the leg and a graze to the head, allegedly fired by an angry patron outside the Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood last Fall.

New Releases: Ben Harper’s (Mag Mic and ’59 Humbucker) Diamonds on the Inside CD and Live at the Hollywood Bowl DVD and CD were recently released. Higher Ground is the latest release from Anthony Terrezza (Vintage Rails, JB Junior and Alnico II Pro Humbucker) and an amalgamation of many musical styles! The CD contains the song “Outer Space - Tribute to Columbia Space Shuttle Astronauts,” an emotional instrumental song written as a tribute to honor the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia. |
"Outer Space" was recorded in one session with no editing, just two days after that tragic event. Larry Hernandez (Live Wire Heavy Metal Humbucker) of riotgun. is set to release a Greatest Hits (as of yet un-named) in Holland on New Year's Eve for Madskull Records.
On the jazz side, Ron Jackson's (Benedetto® B-6) The Dream I Had is now available through CDStreet.com, CDBaby.com and Amazon.com. Carol Kaye (Pro-Active for P-Bass®) will be recording a jazz guitar DVD tutorial soon that should be out around the time this newsletter goes to print. Many people don't know that bass legend Carol had a great reputation as a fine jazz guitarist wayyyy before she ever started studio work in 1957. The story goes, she played guitar on the record dates until one day in 1963 at Capitol Records, she was asked to play bass when a bass player didn't show up. The rest is history.
