Custom Guitar Spotlight - ESP Jet Fighter

This vaguely V-shaped axe is based on a fighter-bomber. It comes from ESP’s Guitar Craft Academy in Tokyo, Japan. Not only do they sell guitars, but ESP is very big in education and, for some years now, they’ve been turning out legions of highly-skilled guitar builders in Japan and the USA. This beast was built by Ohmuro-san, an instructor at the academy, in honor of ESP’s 30th Anniversary.

It features an alder body with a rosewood-covered, 24 fret bolt-on neck. The tuners are Gotoh Deluxe and the bridge is an original Floyd Rose. It's no surprise that a heavy duty axe like this sports a squadron of Duncan Distortions in the neck and bridge. According to Mr. Ohmuro, the guitar is meant to be aggressive and metallic. That's why he picked the Duncan Distortions and that's why he chose the jet fighter motif.
