Winter NAMM Preview

If you work in the Seymour Duncan NAMM booth, “Where’s Seymour” is the most common question you ever hear. Fans. Industry colleagues. Vintage freaks. Bros. They all want to meet or talk to Seymour. But the man’s not always at the booth. ‘Till now. This year, the booth theme is “Where’s Seymour?” There will be large fabric graphics with little, hidden images of Seymour. Four total. Find all four and decode a four letter word and you’ll get yourself a cool piece of swag. And who knows, maybe Seymour will be in the booth when you stop by. We’ve got a new “island” booth directly across the aisle from our location last year. Booth #4358 in Hall C.

While you're looking for Seymour, check out the new offering for 2006. There's the new Dave Mustaine LiveWire active humbuckers set. Plus, we'll have a Pedal Corner, where you can demo the brand new SFX-03 along with the SFX-01 Pickup Booster and SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz. We could tell you what the -03 is, but you'll have to stop by and see for yourself. (Hint: you'll love it!) You can also check out the new patent-pending STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus.

Our sister company, D-TAR, will be co-sponsoring the Acoustic Café on Friday night at the Hilton. Scheduled to appear are Andy Summers Trio, Ed Gerhard, and the amazing ukulele (that's right, ukulele) sensation: Jake Shimabukuro. Make sure to stop by the booth early to pick up tickets, because this event will fill up fast. Speaking of D-TAR, they'll be showing the brand new Wave-Length flat under-saddle pickup as well as the revolutionary Mama Bear digital acoustic guitar preamp.

While you're walking the NAMM-show floor, make sure to check the high-end guitar and bass manufacturers that feature our pickups. Look out for Seymour Duncan pickups in guitar offerings from PRS, Fender, Jackson, Godin, Charvel, Hamer, Guild, ESP, Washburn, Brian Moore, Parker, Schecter, Heritage, Yamaha, Dean, Cort, Fernandes, Framus, Music Man, Klein, Peavey, B.C. Rich and many others.

Not to be outdone, some of the classy bass manufacturers who have gotten hip to the Basslines phenomenon include Fodera, Warwick, Zon, Sadowsky, Modulus, Fender, Kenneth Lawrence, ESP, Jackson and Warrior. Also, check out mid-priced guitars by Fender/Squire, Jackson, Schecter Diamond Series, ESP Ltd, Samick, Daisy Rock, Ibanez and Hamer that come with Duncan Designed pickups.
