Seymour Duncan Offers Blackouts with Metal Covers

Santa Barbara, California - After the resounding success of our Blackouts line of active humbuckers, we're following up our home run with the launch of Blackouts with chrome, gold and black nickel-platedmetal covers. Now, players can enjoy the extreme metal tones that Blackouts offer while retaining a classy, unique and metallic look that coordinates well with all guitar hardware finishes.

Thanks to a superior circuit design, Blackouts are up to 14dB quieter than the competition. But they also have more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, Blackouts have more tone than other active pickups. Metal guitarists have embraced Blackouts, which are now one of our top 10 product models.

The covers utilize a nickel silver substrate, the same cover material we use for our classic passive humbucker covers. The nickel silver substrate provides nearly no magnetic interaction with the pickup and is ideal for surface plating. Blackouts come with necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
