This is a great way to get lots of humbucker sounds AND single coil sounds out of one Strat.

Strat owners commonly use a push/pull pot to split the coils of a humbucker (which is usually located in the bridge position). Most push/pulls are dpdt switches, which means they can be used to split two humbuckers at once---so if your Strat has humbuckers in both the neck and bridge, you can switch both humbuckers to single-coil mode using just one push/pull. If you had three humbuckers in your Strat (like JB Jr's or Hot Rails, etc), however, you would usually need to use at least one more push/pull to be able to split all three humbuckers---until now. With a little creative rewiring of a standard 5-way switch, one push/pull can be used to split three humbuckers at once. This means you can have a guitar that is all humbuckers, or all single coils. It's like having two guitars in one. All of the controls will function like normal regardless of whether the push/pull is up or down.
