Seymour Duncan has released ?The Journey is the Destination,? a three-volume audio CD set of all Seymour Duncan electric guitar pickups recorded and indexed for "A/B-ing." The three CDs are: (1) humbuckers, mini-humbuckers and P-90s; (2) Tele, Jaguar, & Jazzmaster replacements; and (3) Strat replacements. The CDs were designed with one purpose in mind: to highlight the tonal differences between various Seymour Duncan electric guitar pickups. To achieve this, we used the most unbiased scientific demonstration method available. We used the same Strat for all the Strat replacement pickups, the same Tele for the Tele replacements, the same Les Paul for all the humbuckers, etc. The pickups were all played through the same amps -- one for clean, one for dirty -- at the same flat EQ settings, all by the same player playing the same licks.
