Contest Rules:
THE FOLLOWING CONTEST SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, CONSTRUED, AND INTERPRETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
DURATION: The Seymour Duncan Win Yngwie's pickups contest (the "Contest") begins February 1st and ends April 30th, 2010.
ELIGIBILITY: Employees of Seymour Duncan (the Sponsor) or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates or agencies, or members of their immediate families, or persons living in same household of each, are not eligible to enter or win. Entrants under sixteen (16) years old must obtain parental consent before entering the contest. Such consent may be given via e-mail or regular mail to the Sponsor, which consent will be confirmed by the Sponsor. Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. Contest is open to only to legal residents of the United States and its territories.
PRIZES: Ten first prize winners will receive one set of Seymour Duncan YJM Fury pickups. Second prize winners will receive promotional items or merchandising from either Yngwie J. Malmsteen or Seymour Duncan. The actual amount of second prize winners and the items won will not be announced prior to end of the contest and will be determined by the contest’s administrator at the end of the contest. All taxes and shipping expenses associated with the redemption of the prize(s) are the responsibility of the winner(s).
ENTRY: Entries must be submitted online at www.seymourduncan.com/yjmfury. Online entries must be received on or before 11:59 p.m. EST, April 30th, 2010. Only one entry per person is permitted. Online entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of registration. The Winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete entries, system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, or other telecommunications malfunctions. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend the online promotion should any unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond the control of the Sponsor affect the administration or proper play or conduct of the promotion. By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor.
WINNER: The Winner(s) will be selected via a random drawing on May 1st, 2010. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received. The Winner(s) will be notified by e-mail or by phone. Undeliverable prize notification or failure to respond to prize notification within 7 days will result in forfeiture of the prize. In the event of prize forfeiture by a Winner, an alternative Winner may be awarded the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to revise dates and procedures mentioned in these rules. The Winner's name will be posted on the www.seymourduncan.com/yjmfury web site as well as in electronic direct mails sent by Seymour Duncan.
RESERVATIONS: By submitting an online entry, each entrant agrees to have his or her e-mail address put on Seymour Duncan’s E-Mail News mailing list. The Winner, by submitting an entry, grants permission to have his or her name, city, photograph and/or likeness used in any manner the Sponsor may deem appropriate for advertising, trade and/or promotional purposes without additional compensation, including without limitation, posting the Winner's name on the www.SeymourDuncan.com web site, unless prohibited by law. The Winner, by acceptance of a prize, agrees to release the Sponsor, or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, directors, officers, agents or employees from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for any damage, loss or injury resulting from or arising out of participation in this Contest, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize, downloading or sending any sweepstakes materials, or any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize. The Winner must agree to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release prior to receiving the prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Contest if the Contest becomes technically corrupted in any manner and to select the Winner by random drawing of all eligible entries received prior to the corruption.

NOT A U.S. RESIDENT? Seymour Duncan is currently offering this online promotion only to U.S. residents. We would like to encourage musicians outside of the United States to make use of the "International" link at www.seymourduncan.com, and use it to look for contests and promotions that are being offered by our worldwide Seymour Duncan international distributors. Unfortunately, however, even though we at Seymour Duncan would like to make our contests available to everyone throughout the world, there are other factors that prevent us from being able to do so. For example, there are a variety of local and national laws that companies are expected to comply with each and every time they conduct a contest like the one Seymour Duncan is currently running. Seymour Duncan makes sure that it complies with the applicable state and federal laws in the United States, but it would be virtually impossible to determine what the applicable laws are in each state, province and country throughout the world, and then ensure that our contests comply with such laws. Additionally, some nations around the world simply do not want foreign countries operating contests in their homeland, and for that, there is nothing we can do. While we would like to open our contests to Seymour Duncan players across the globe, we hope you can understand that despite our best efforts, we just cannot do that. Even though you are not eligible to participate in the current Seymour Duncan USA contest, you may be eligible to participate in contests offered by our global partners, and we encourage you to check back often for updates.
