    Default Shredmaster clones?

Anyone have a good idea where I could pick up a decent clone besides the ones from BYOC?

Don't take it as written in stone, but I have heard that the Visual Sounds Son of Hyde (or the Jekyl and Hyde pedal) is based of the shred master.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

That is correct. The Hyde side and Son of Hyde are based of the Shredmaster.

    Hm, I didn't know that.

Are those pedals any good? I've never heard of them, really.

Visual Sound is the company that produces the Jekyll & Hyde and Son of Hyde pedals. Guitar Center is a dealer for them, so if you are close to Boston, you might be able to find one locally to demo.

I have not tried either of those pedals, so I can't offer an opinion.

Excellent pedals, IMO. Visual Sound makes some great stuff. Very well thought out, well designed, and durable. The Jekyll and Hyde is one of their best sellers.

THe jekyll and hyde is one of the best od/dist. pedals I've ever heard, it basically has a tube screamer on one side, and a heavier distortion on the other side. There is a web site I found a while ago where the guy sells kits of tons of different pedals including the shred master. I'll try and find it.
