Oh - and I am looking forward to more info from YOU GUYS about the C12 mods. I have read - extensively -about them at the marshallampforum.

Now I'd like some real-world opinions from the SDUGF. And maybe even a step-by-step procedure complete with pictures.

Until I see it done by someone else, I am wary of sticking my hands inside that amp.

it plays with people's sense of security. People who bid early will bid what they think is the highest price they're willing to pay for an item, or what they think is the lowest price they can get away with. In the heat of the moment, and given the chance, many people will bid higher than they originally wanted or thought they could get away with.
When you snipe, you take away their ability to reconsider what they're willing to pay. If you leave a whole half-hour left for the guy you just outbid to look is his pocketbook and decide he's willing to one-up you, he just might! Don't let him!

that sucker's mine now. I was the only bidder? It it cuz he has 0 feedback? Thank God ebay's so biased towards protecting buyers. If I get a bad amp (or no amp) I'll get my $ back. It may take a lil while but ebay and paypal back up their shiiz.
I'm just waiting on a check to clear the bank so I can pay this fellow. Sundays are great and all that but it's a bad day for determining the status of financial transactions.
Well, I better go to sleep. Sitting there waiting for the auction to close was pretty boring. I'm so glad I don't have to work today.

She's a tone hound! Well, I think that's why she howls when I play...

The speakers are G12T-75s. I think it's a transition era cab because the plate on the back says 130w (i.e. for G12-65s). I was going to change the speakers for V30s or G12-65s but I bought some of these Fizzy Lifters as an experiment and they have made a big difference. They're like beam blockers that stick to the inside of the grille cloth. Plenty of highs still but no ice pick directional beam. Sounds great so for now I'm keeping the 75s.

Congrats man! Stoked for ya. You will love the amp. If not the re-sale value is pretty good (not like you would need to sell it or anything, just saying).

DSL loves pedals too, just saying. You probably won't need a distortion, OD or a boost pedal with this amp, but you can use any along with it. Beauty of it is that pedals add to this amp without taking anything away. Like I said the distortion can stand alone, but slam on a pedal and it goes all out with a nice thick articulate distortion.

These amps love Celestion Vintage 30, Classic Lead 80s, G12H30s, GT-75s and work pretty well with EV EVM12L Zakk Wylde, EV EVM12L Classic and Tone Tubbys speakers. Haven't tried any other speakers. Would be interested in hearing the results for Eminence speakers.

Yeah I'm putting a single eminence legend v12 in there when I get it. The eminence description makes it sound like a louder greenback with tighter bass. The claim it has good mids, smooth highs that aren't too rolled off (freq range is somthing like 80Hz-5KHz, whereas the GB is something like 70Hz-5KHz). They also claim it has a moderate amount of cone breakup. The sensitivity is 100.9 compared to the like 98 of the greenback. it should be a nice, warm, loud speaker.
