Default '67 Fender Bassman 1x15 Combo

I recently traded my deluxe reverb reissue for a 1967 fender bassman 1x15 combo I found at a pawnshop. Sounds righteous with my g&l legacy. Its got a weber speaker and has gorgeous natural breakup with the volume at 4-5 while still producing those sparkling bell like sounds with the guitar volume rolled back. Gets along with pedals like no other amp i have ever owned. Now onto my question, after doing some research i have come to the conclusion that it might be a head that somebody converted into a 1x15 combo. Did fender ever produce a 1x15 combo in '67-68?

Not to the best of my knowledge. From my understanding, Bassman amps were exclusively available as heads after the tweed models went out of production.

According to an archived The Gear Page thread, there were some 1968 1x15 Bassman silverface combos with the AB165 circuit.
Mostly, though, the Bassman combos of that era were 4x10s.

Ill get a picture up sometime soon, but the post by ginormous pretty much answers my question. I was just unable to find any evidence that fender made them at all. It has a 6 knob layout with a bright switch on the normal channel, a deep switch for the bass channel and two inputs for each. Amp chassis is stamped as a '67. No doubt in my mind that it's authentic, now that i know they actually did produce them for a while. Curious whether or not its been modded, normal channel sounds killer.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Just because some people on The Gear Page were talking about them doesn't mean they didn't happen upon a head that someone else put in a combo cab. It's a fairly common mod, especially considering that Bassmans are pretty much the cheapest vintage Fenders. Drip edge Bassmans could be had for $50-100 fifteen to twenty years ago. And even before vintage Fenders were desirable, they were still the least in demand.

And that's coming from the proud owner of one:

Well if it is a conversion, they did a stellar job.

No....there were no BF Bassman 1x15" combos. Never happened. The last 4X10" Bassman was in 1960.
