    Default Which pedal?

Which pedal now? I’m looking for a shiny and/or colorful pedal to buy. Maybe one that’s not all that common. Bonus points if it does something unusual. I already have a Keeley-modded Talent Booster.

    Zvex Seek-Trem

The Zvex Seek Trem is a sequencer tremolo pedal with eight separate volume controls and a speed knob. The Seek Trem also includes a 4/8/6 step selector switch. True-bypass on this pedal halts the sequencer at the first step until the pedal is turned back on.

I’ve actually got one of these, I’d recommend the Super Seek Trem for the extra steps. I seem to use mine more for patterns than for shaping a trem waveform, so more Steps is nice for that.

Another cool option is the old Boss SL-20 Slicer.

Is that a good "Hhhhhnnnnngggggggg" or a bad "Hhhhhhnnnnnggggggg"??

Personally I have found some small joy in finding builders to recreate classic pedals I can't otherwise afford (or, more accurately, am not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on). I get to decide exactly what I want, visually design it to my liking, and then a week or two later it arrives. Most of them have not been "keepers" but all of them have been interesting to try. I particularly recommend Frank the Anvil FX via Etsy, although he paints his enclosures which doesn't meet some people's standards, I know. Next step up would be maybe Chicago Stompworks.

Of course, I'm also a bit simple and easily amused...

What’s wrong with painting the enclosures?

The paint is sweet, but that Super Deluxe looks sick.

It is cheaper to buy-and-try! I usually break even, maybe lose $20 on a pedal. Sometimes I make money. The subscription service is guaranteed money gone every month.
And I think the hunt is half the fun for me.

Regarding painted enclosures: I mean he does not do powdercoating or epoxy. Some people consider painted pedals inferior. Mainly on The Gear Page, now that I think about it.

Is that a pedal, or a mouser order for spare electronic parts?
